Annotation: Fascinating book about forensic anthropologists and what they can learn from bones about how the person died, whether it was a male or female, how old the person was, and even height and weight. Police cases are detailed throughout, showing how forensic anthropologists helped solve the crimes. Photos throughout. Forensic Science Terms and Index included.

The Bone Detectives is a detailed and fascinating look at solving a crime, in this case a murder, using forensic science tools and methods. Clues are bones and clothes that the scientist uses to identify the victim and help police find the murderer. Because of the subject matter this book is probably of greater interest to older children or those with an interest in true crime.
