Autumn Leaves
by Ken Robbins

Book Review
I enjoyed reading this outstanding book Autumn Leaves by Ken Robbins. I loved the bright colors.

I liked Autumn Leaves because in Maine we have a lot of fall color. The book gives you the name of each leaf, a picture of both the leaf and the entire tree as well as a description of each tree. The opening of the book discusses autumn and how it is a great time to look closely at leaves. I liked how the author used clear photos instead of paintings. At the end of the book the author tells you how and why a leaf changes colors and what leaves do for trees such as provide food.

I would give Autumn Leaves book four stars and would recommend this book to second and third graders because it is a great way to learn more about science.
