Wild Flamingos
by Bruce McMillan

Book Review

Wild Flamingos by Maine author Bruce McMillan is a spectacular book. I really enjoyed reading it at silent reading time. In fact, I couldn’t wait for silent reading time to read some more.

I think it’s spectacular because it gave me tons of information about flamingos like what they eat, how they clean their feathers, what they do when they hear something dangerous and a lot of other things.

I liked the way the author wrote the book. It is kind of like a journal because there are three wonderful pictures on each page with brightly colored flamingos on them and the author tells what they are doing. The illustrations are photographs and are really colorful with all the birds on them. The book has extra information at the end including an index, a list of the places where greater flamingos still live in the wild and a bibliography.

I would recommend this book to fourth graders and a lot of my friends. I think this five star (out of five) book is one of the best Cornerstones books ever.
