Book Review
SuperCroc by Christopher Sloan ia a book about crocodiles
that lived 230 million years ago.
The most interesting part was seeing what their bones were like.
In the beginning they showed how to get the bones out of the Ténéré
desert with a tool called the "tease." The tease brings
away rocks that actually helps them to take the bones away. Some
of the bones were broken, because over 230 million years ago is
a long time ago. So there could have been earthquakes or people
may have driven over them on expeditions.
It showed that some of the bones were as big as kids! They also
showed that some of the bones were as big as toes. The book also
talked about what SuperCrocs ate. They ate frogs, turtles and baby
dinosaurs. (That is so sick!) They even ate their own family. It
also talked about where they lived and the research in Madagascar,
where crocs filled the rivers and waited in huge numbers for dinosaurs
to try and cross the water, then ate them - leaving the bones that
now scientists are finding.
I am really glad that I chose this book because I like to learn
about crocs way back in time. I would recommend this book to other
kids in 3rd through 5th grade.
