Invisible Allies:
Microbes That Shape Our Lives
by Jeanette Farrell

Annotation
Enter the world of benevolent microbes and you will be surprised how many are of great help to humans and how few are the evil disease-causing creatures that come to mind. You’ll surely come away with a healthy respect for microbes and may never look at your lunch in quite the same way again. Color rather than black and white photos would have improved the book, but still a fascinating read. Recommended for teens in grades 6-9 by Booklist.
