Anne Hayden, (A.B., Harvard College; M.S., Duke University) has
a consulting
practice working with non-profit organizations and state and federal
agencies on marine-related research, management and policy issues.
Her
interests and experience relate to ecosystem-based fisheries management,
environmental monitoring, collaborative research, and the role of
science
and policy in governance of marine resources. She is an Adjunct
Lecturer in
Environmental Studies at Bowdoin College. She is past President
of the
Maine Audubon Society and currently serves on the Maine boards of
the Nature
Conservancy, the Conservation Law Foundation, and the Manomet Center
for
Conservation Sciences. Anne is co-author, with Philip Conkling,
of Lobsters: Great and Small, the story of a remarkable
collaboration of scientists and fishermen in the study of lobster
populations along the Maine coast. She lives in Brunswick,
Maine, with her husband and their three daughters.
